A Small Gold Quarter-Repeating Watch in Engraved Pair Cases
Case: The inner gold case housing the bell, the band fretted and engraved with ancanthus scrolls with wheatear border and numbered 881 by the pendant. A hinged bezel and quarter-repeating push piece. The outer gold case with plain back, the edges engraved with acanthus leaves, vines and shells. Both stamped IW.
Dial: Later plain white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and pierced gold hands.
Movement: Gilded brass plates signed Geo. Graham London, numbered 881. Quarter repeating fusee movement with plain pillars, a finely fretted and engraved verge cock with floral and scroll decoration, masked face diamond endstone. The gilt metal dust cover signed Geo. Graham London and numbered inside.
Escapement: Cylinder, brass escapement with steel cylinder.
