A Miniature Ebonised and Brass Mounted Mantel Timepiece.

 Case: The case of ebonised fruitwood on oak, with inverted-bell caddy over an arched top, the bow handle with tazza pommel, the sides inlaid with brass, standing on raised turned  and milled toupie foot.

Dial: 3 by 4 inch breakarch silvered brass dial signed to the arch Wm. Johnson, Strand,London with Roman chapter-ring and pierced steel hands.

Movement: 3 by 5 inch chamfer top plates with four pillars and single fusee. The going train with anchor escapment and adjustable lenticular pendulum with locking nut. The backplate signed W. Johnson Strand, London.

Escapement: Anchor.
